We have been able to buy new comfortable beds with cosy liners for all our stray dog kennels thanks to a generous donation by Miss Heather Gray and Mr Andrew Gray who live near Falkirk.

Miss Gray contacted us in August 2007 to say that she and her brother would like to make a donation to the EDCH in memory of their mother Mrs Gabrielle Iris (Gay) Gray, who had passed away recently. Their mother had rehomed a dog from us in July 1982 and called him Buster. Buster and Gay had many happy years together before Buster died in 1993. Miss Gray told us that her mother was devoted to Buster and that she and her brother thought it would be a fitting tribute to their mother to donate something worthwhile and useful to the Home.

David, the manager, suggested that we use the money to fund new beds for all the stray dogs as it was something we needed but had not yet the money to finance. He and all the staff (not to mention the stray dogs!) are delighted with the new beds and Heather and Andrew were able to see them in use in the kennels when they visited us for our Open day in September.
