In June 2007 a stray Jack Russell dog was brought into us after he had been found wandering outside a school in Edinburgh. Luckily, he was micro-chipped so we were able to find his owner’s contact details. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that the dog, Spot, was from a farm in Cheshire and that he had been missing for 2 ½ years! Needless to say, his owners were speechless but overjoyed to find out that Spot was alive and well and immediately made arrangements to make the 250 mile trip to Edinburgh to be with him. His owner, Andrew Dawson, who believes that Spot had been stolen, contacted us later to say that Spot, now 13 years old, had recovered well from his ordeal and that he had soon settled back into life on the farm as if he had never been away, reclaiming his favourite armchair once again!
