When you contact us, we will need to know the following:
- What boarding dates you require.
- What breed, or what size, your dog is.
- Where there is more than one pet, if you want them to share a pen or kennel.
Boarding Rates per day
- Cat £7.50
- Dog £8.50
A discounted rate will be available where more than one pet shares a kennel or cat pen. Please contact us for details.
Boarding Conditions
- No dogs or cats will be accepted for boarding without proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
- No un-neutered adult male cat over 6 months old will be accepted for boarding.
- No dogs or cats under the age of 6 months will be accepted for boarding.
- All verbal bookings must be confirmed in writing.
- In the event of cancellation of your booking, normal charges will still be payable during busy periods if we are not given more than 7 days notice of the cancellation and we are unable to re-book the space.
- In the rare event of your pet becoming ill while it is with us, we will in the first instance attempt to contact your own vet for advice and/or treatment. If you do not supply us with details of your vet, if your vet is located outside the Edinburgh area or in the event of an emergency, we will call upon the services of our own veterinary surgeons from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.
- In the event of your pet requiring veterinary treatment, we will attempt to contact you, or the responsible person nominated by you, to advise you of the problem and obtain permission for any veterinary procedures to be carried out. If we are unable to contact you, we will leave it to the veterinary surgeon to decide on the best actions or treatment necessary for the patient in their care.
- The owner will be liable for the cost of any veterinary treatment provided while their pet is boarding with us.
- We reserve the right to re-home any animal not collected within seven days of the due departure date if the owner has failed to contact us and all reasonable efforts to contact them have failed.
