Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home is the city's oldest animal welfare charity, providing services to the Council and Police across Edinburgh and the Lothians. The Home receives no government or lottery funding and relies on the generous support of volunteers and donors to carry out its vital mission to rescue, reunite and rehome Scotland's stray and unwanted dogs and cats.
The Home's operational activities are supported by volunteers who provide administrative services to the organsiation, which are essential to service the large numbers of animals in our care. Office Volunteers help us with a variety of administrative tasks including:
- Reception duties
- Assisting the public with the rehoming process
- Responding to customer enquiries
- Answering and directing calls
- Data entry
- Adhoc adminstrative duties
