Retail Manager

Contract: Full time (37.5 hours per week), 12 months fixed term with potential for full-time contract after a successful trial.

Salary:  £20,000 - £21,000 depending on experience

We are seeking an exceptional individual to manage and develop our charity shops, currently based in Morningside and Stockbridge.

The successful candidate will be an experienced retail manager or supervisor, preferably with experience of working with a team of staff and volunteers. We are looking for someone with first class communication skills able to lead our retail team to provide excellent customer service and generate income for the Home.

We are looking for someone with an eye for detail who can lead the team to create attractive window and shop displays, ensuring a high level of presentation at all times. This role will also involve the creation and implementation of a range of shop processes and procedures as well as the development of various projects to increase income generated from the retail department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate individual to develop their retail and leadership skills in a dynamic team with a shared passion for dog and cat welfare. While the role will not involve direct contact with rescue animals as part of your day-to-day work, all of our shops are dog-friendly and a sympathy for Home’s animal welfare vision is essential.
